October Half Term Art Club in progress!

Today, 16 brilliant illustrators and sculptors came together to learn about the meaning of birds in the History of Art. We looked at Western paintings that inlcude birds and discussed the symbolism of doves, peacocks, swallows, goldfinch and others. We made artists books of birds and created clay models of birds - real and imagined.

Holly (9) and Charlie (6) said: "Our favourite thing was clay modelling and getting our hands all sticky!"
